This rubbery little plant has chubby, grape-like leaves that pop when you squeeze them.
When opened, the fluid inside the leaves is clear, they smell just like fresh green beans, but they look like the inside of an aloe leaf. I just got it, but so I don’t know if it flowers.
Hi Brianna, this is one of the many Sedum or stonecrop. This one is a tender species, originating in Mexico and other warm climates.
This one looks to be Sedum ‘Burrito’ a smaller form of Sedum morganianum, the Burros Tail. These make long trailing stems, perfect for displaying in a hanging basket, but one negative characteristic of them is that the leaves are very easily dislodged. Display it where it won’t get bumped by traffic.
They prefer bright light, and the occasional deep watering, but they should be allowed to dry out almost completely between times.
They will bloom, at the ends of the hanging stems. Usually the flowers are pink and look like small urns.
You can see more about Sedum ‘Burrito’ and Sedum morganianum here.
Happy Succulent Growing!
