Flap Jacks
by: Jacki Cammidge, Certified Horticulturist
This plant is sometimes known as Flap Jacks, because it does look a bit like a stack of pancakes. The true Kalanchoe thyrsiflora is mostly green – the closely related K. luciae tends to blush red especially in full sun.
You can see more about it here; Kalanchoe thyrsiflora.
Bright light, full sun if possible and warm temperatures are best for this plant. They can’t take any frost, so indoors for the winter for cold areas. Grow lights are pretty much essential to prevent them from stretching towards the light or drooping.
