ornamental crabapple tree
My ornamental crabapple tree had three limbs. One was cut off summer 2020 by order of hydro because it was interfering with incoming power line. Last summer the leaves started turning brown and dying. This summer even more are dying. Is there anything I can do to save the tree?

Although harsh treatment, it’s unlikely that chopping off a third of the tree would kill it. I would look to see if there is damage to the area around the trunk, ie; heavy equipment on the root area or something like that.
The most likely cause of the rest of the tree dying is that the leaves have been scorched by being exposed to the sun for the first time.
There is really no other cure but time, and to water when the weather is hot and dry.
