15″ long leaves, waxy, rounded at base and pointed on the other – with sawtooth edges. Before blooming, leaves were green/gray – now that it is blooming, they are reddish/pink.

Massive bloom at top of each stalk – many bulbous pink/red “flowers” with yellow trumpets hanging beneath. Blooms are 12-15″ across.

I saw the plant further down in your unidentifieds – but no photos of blooms – thought this might help identify it.

We live in Mexico, in the Sonoran Desert. The plant gets full sun in a courtyard on the north side of the house.

Becki, fantastic pictures – you must be in a really perfect climate to grow these plants, as they look so happy and healthy.

I’m going to say based on the structure of the flowers that this is some type of Kalanchoe species, of which there are many, that are grown because of their unique characteristics, ease of growth, and beauty. It’s important to always remember that these plants can have poisonous parts, so avoid pets eating any of the bits.

You have a lovely garden; the light and warmth is palpable here in the frozen north!

Best of luck with your plant,
