I got this little plant from a greenhouse at a hospital where I work.
No one has been able to identify it for me and I haven’t been able to find a picture on the internet of a similar succulent until I saw your website.
Unfortunately, the picture was used for the link regarding 10 myths about succulents and I haven’t been able to identify my plant.
Hi Heather, that little guy is Adromischus cristata, otherwise known by various common names like Pie Crust Plant and Baby Toes (although other plants are sometimes called by the same common name, so you need to know the botanical name too)
Other people have asked about this plant, and you can find out more here:
Hope that helps,

The long stem would have been a flower stalk, which died before it flowered, unfortunately. The flowers are small, but very pretty.
You could post a picture by starting your own submission to the this form. There’s room for four pictures!

I think I have a baby toes?
by: Jackie Lovell
My plant is doing great! It looks kind of like Baby Toes – I initially treated as a cactus with very little water and it did ok but very little growth… then I started watering and it took off! One day it had a long stem which was there for months until it finally stopped growing & turned brown …. what was that? I would like to send pic to you… is that possible? Thanks for any info!!! Jackie
