This little beauty is Delosperma echinatum. Those are definitely leaves, even though they’re covered in tiny prickles. This is protection from browsing animals, and also, they provide a bit of shade for the leaves, indicating that it’s origin is in an extremely hot and bright environment.
Give it as much light as you possibly can, based on this.
These kinds of plants are sometimes referred to as Ice Plant. They all have similar flowers, like a daisy.
