Grow Succulents for Profit with this detailed step by step e-course
There are so many options for creating your own business, but few that are so economical to start as one concentrating on succulent plants.
Starting your own succulent plant business has never been easier or more doable.
Let me introduce myself. I’m Jacki Cammidge, Certified Horticulturist and online plant business owner (now retired after 30 years in the gardening industry).
I’m in the unique position to show you exactly how to delve in to the fascinating field of a succulent plants microbusiness and make a success of it!
Having made many mistakes in starting a business, I’ll show you in detail how to do it right, and save YOU time in getting your new business off the ground.
I’ve set up this instructional e-course you can take right here, online. You will find the exact steps you need for success, from setup, to growing the plants, to designing, and building, succulent gardens and beautiful containers as crafts to sell.
I show you how to take your passion for growing these fascinating plants and turn it into profit by selling them online or in person at farmers markets or fairs.
There is no time to waste – read on to learn more so you can get started now!
I’ve been growing plants from seeds and cuttings for over 30 years spending hours in my garden, propagating plants, moving established clumps, making new gardens and finding ways to display my beautiful containers.
You can have the same success with your own microbusiness that I did. Plus, if you should ever tire of your nursery or crafts at any time, you will have built up equity – that’s valuable stuff!
The e-Course also provides detailed tips on how you can go about selling your business, at a nice profit, when you are ready.
If you have the same addiction and passion for succulent plants, and want to do what you love to do, this is where you start.
Imagine how it will look when your business gets going; you’ll be able to play with plants all day if you choose, taking cuttings, growing new plants from seed, and making lots of gorgeous planters or crafts to sell.
Customers will be flocking to your booth at the farmers market or craft fair. Your creations and plants will be in such demand you won’t be able to keep them in stock.
Taking names of potential buyers could be your new normal.
You won’t need to actively promote your business, it will market itself, whenever people see your lovely plants and the unique ways you display them.
I’ll share all I know with you!
Do any of these sound like you?
- I’m overwhelmed by all of the information available to me.
- The fear of failure is stopping me from moving forward.
- I don’t know where to start.
- I’m not sure what kind of business I’d like to create.
- I don’t feel like I have what it takes to create a successful business.
- My perfectionism gets in the way.
- I’m afraid of wasting my time and money.
You’re not alone.
Most of us have felt just like that at times, and that’s why I created this e-course – so you no longer need to worry about doing it all by yourself.
I’ve made all the mistakes and figured out the best ways to do things along the way, and you can learn from me.
As well, you’ll get exclusive access to the wisdom of other horticulturists and growers who specialize in this same field; the one thing that they’ll all tell you is that there can never be enough succulent nurseries in the world.
Due to the restrictions on selling plants between countries and the problem of packaging them to safely travel around the world, you will have your very own market close to home wherever that happens to be.
When you have a lot of different kinds of plants it’s fun and enthralling to create containers for them, figure out ways to display them, propagate them and soon you have more than you know what to do with.
So start a business!
There are so many collectors (read: hoarders) of plants out there, eager to garner new and exciting species for their collection.
People love to display them and show them off in a perfect handmade pot.
They can be planted in hypertufa pots, wood blocks, terra cotta pots, clay pots and rustic salvage.
They can be pruned into bonsai forms, planted in xeriscape gardens, used as wedding favors.
They are great candidates for fairy and miniature gardens, where they thrive planted in shallow bowls.
So many niches…let me help you choose
Seriously; this is the time to get started if you’ve ever wondered if this is the career for you. There are many niches in this fascinating field – here are just a few of them;
- Learn how to create gorgeous gardens and maintain them for other people who love the look but don’t have the time or inclination to do their own planting. With climate change a reality, your skills will be in demand to provide beauty even when a lack of water dictates minimal gardening.
- Horticultural Therapy is being promoted in seniors homes and for those that are challenged in other ways, either physically or mentally. Just getting the hands in the dirt can be so beneficial. Gardening and crafting with succulents gives almost immediate satisfaction and pride.
- Build unique crafts spilling over with succulents, and learn how to make them thrive with exactly the care they need, and get that surge of pride and appreciation when you see them glowing with health – and the looks on your customers faces when they admire them (and buy them!)
- Propagate these interesting and challenging plants for others to care for and grow on into adult plants, selling the cuttings or small plants.
- Grow indoor succulents to sell online, or specialize in cactus plants.
- Succulent gardens thrive in conditions that will make other plants wilt; your ability to grow the right plants in your very own nursery will supply plants for which there is a huge demand.
- Grow large numbers of succulent garden plants that can be sold wholesale if that is the direction you want to take.
Gain the knowledge and information to keep plantings pest free, and what to do if a bug does get into them.
Meet the huge demand for wedding flowers; brides want lovely succulents to give to their guests, and for centerpieces and bouquets.
People will pay for all these kinds of services and products. It’s surprising, but it’s true. Become an expert and specialize in your chosen field, build your own micro business and profits start to roll in while you’re doing something you love.

How Much Will My Business Cost to Start?
There are a lot of variables to start up costs. However, succulents generally don’t need a lot of soil (they’re quite happy crowded together in a shallow flat) or a lot of room.
Unlike many other plants, they don’t require a ton of water. Sunshine, a bit of TLC and your knowledge will grow a lot of succulents.
Plus, they prefer to be quite dry for shipping, so you’ll save there too, if online plant sales are your business model.
Did you know that you can write off any expenses that you incur when operating your business?
