I have a hot pink plant, kind of in the shape of a diamond or oval shape, that has delicate purple flowers and lots of long thin stems growing out of it.

Comments for hot pink with purple flowers

This gorgeous creature is Tillandsia cyanea, or Pink Quill – I’m guessing that the common name is because it looks like a feather.

The pink part is actually composed of bracts, which are modified leaf structures. The flowers are the purple trumpet shaped blooms, although generally, these plants don’t grow well from seed, and are propagated by division of the roots or tubers.
