I have purchased a fiddle leaf from the nursery and I think it has developed root rot. What is the best way to rectify it?

What makes you think it’s got root rot? If you’re looking at the damage on the leaves, that’s not a definitive sign of root rot.

Root rot would show as wilting, even when the soil is damp.

The leaf damage looks like mechanical damage from rough handling, such as when it was shipped from the greenhouse where it was grown to the nursery where it was sold.

There are also some small spots of what looks like Anthracnose, but the picture isn’t clear enough to tell. All the damage looks old, so there’s nothing you can do now except wait for it to grow out.

You haven’t said how long ago you purchased it, so without more information, it’s hard to tell you more than that.

I just got mine a few weeks ago and it has large brown spots on its lower leaves.
