This little guy is awesome! It has grown wonderfully in the two weeks since I bought it. It is such an interesting succulent and seems to thrive inside my windowsill. I would love to know more about its species and how to properly care for it. Thanks!

Pebble Plant
by: Jacki
There are several different species that are known as Pebble Plants, and this one could be one of them.
Sorry, I don’t know enough about them to say for sure, but I do know that seeing the paler color of the main stem is not good. ‘Growing wonderfully’ is not a good thing, when growing succulents. They are not meant to grow fast, they are especially designed to be slow growing in their native habitat, usually somewhere warm (or even hot) and dry.
You will need to find out the particular requirements of the plant to keep it happy – they have strict and essential needs for different dormancy periods, and if you don’t provide it, poof. They die.

Pleiospilos nelii
by: Sian
Yes this guy looks like my Pleiospilos nelii, it is called a split rock plant too. It is from the Aizoaceae family. It just needs plenty of sunlight and let the soil dry between watering. Mine is a houseplant but it depends where you live if you want to put it outside.
