Hi,
Unfortunately, due to one mistake the message I have just written was erased, so now I am rewriting a summary from my memory :/
Not long ago I bought my first succulent plant in a local florist. I really was charmed by its beauty and uniqueness, and by the fact that it had two “sons” growing from one side. The one I chose was not alike any of the others.
My curiosity soon led me to a research in order to know which species had I acquired, by its general characteristics I am certain it is an Echeveria. However, when I went further and tried to identify the variety, I found no pairing! I am really curious about which variety is this plant of mine 🙂
Of course, certain varieties looked similar, but I have found these elemental differences: the leaves of mine are longer than in all the Echeveria images of different types I’ve seen so far. This supposes a gente change in the shape of the leaves. They are not very thick (if you look at them from the side), but they are slim when you look from above (I mean not round, but elongated). I hope it is understandable, the explanation was clearer in the erased message, but the uploaded picture should help more than any description. Also there is a slight difference on the number of leaves presented, having mine more than, as far I have seen, is normal.
Also it is noticeable that the “sons” have a larger distance between leaves and between shells of leaves (I mean levels of leaves). I suppose this is because of their short age.
By the way, I have more pictures (from the sides, where you can see the length of the leaves or take a better look at the little plants/ sons growing from the side, but I couldn’t upload them due to their size. Were you to need them, just tell me and we’ll arrange something.
Thank you for this helpful tool 🙂 It is indeed very kind of you to help people on identifying their succulent plants 🙂
Cheers!

Lovely!

You have hit the nail on the head with your comment that there are so many different species of Echeveria.
The closest to yours that I’ve grown is Jackie – sorry I can’t be more precise, and sorry you lost your first draft!

Echeveria ID

I think I have the same one 🙂 it took me awhile to find out what species it was but I believe mine is an Echeveria Californica. Yours looks like mine but you can look it up for yourself to decide.
