plant has little knob type spurs that bloom into a cluster of pretty star shaped flowers
If these blooms are waxy and scented, it sounds like you have a Hoya – sorry, without a picture, there is no way to pin down which one.
Most are Hoya carnosa hybrids, which are commonly seen as ‘legacy’ plants, handed down by cuttings rooted in a jam jar of water on the windowsill.
They can reach a great age, and bloom best when root bound and after a period of drought.
The spurs will continue to bloom every year, so make sure you don’t remove them when pruning.
Roots form easily on the stems between the leaves, so root a few and pot them together for a fuller plant.
Happy Hoya Growing!
