can i cut the blooming succulent flower and replant it?

Drought Smart Plants reply: you can, but it won’t grow, if that’s what you want. In some cases, the leaves on the flower stalk will grow as in some types of Echeveria, but once the flower has faded, simply prune it off and discard it (or compost it!).

Many succulent plants are capable of self fertilization, which means there may be viable seeds in the dried seed pods once the flower fades and shrivels up. Collect these, and grow them for more succulents. It’s a long process, but very rewarding.

Happy succulent growing!
