My succulent is growing really well and looks awesome but I have no idea what it is! It’s leaves grow rounded and form like a mouth and then as they continue to grow they open up and lay flat.
Hi Brooke, I don’t really recognize that as a succulent – it looks more to me like it could be an orchid of some kind. You will know when it blooms if it is!
I see a couple of things which concern me; one is that this plant is in what looks to be a glass jar.
If it has no drain hole, your plant, whether it’s a succulent or an orchid, will be in trouble very soon. Neither of these plants can take any kind of excess moisture, and they’ll rot quickly.
The other thing that I notice is that the upper newer leaves are pale and the plant is leaning; this indicates that it’s not getting enough light where you have it. I wouldn’t necessarily try to put it directly into full sun, but maybe try a brighter window.
Get that baby transplanted into a container with a drain hole and the proper soil right away!
Best of luck,
Jacki
